• Lateral Police Officer
  An applicant who possesses a current POST Basic Certificate and has a minimum of one-year experience with a California law enforcement agency.

• Entry Level Police Officer
  An applicant who has completed a POST Approved Police Academy.

• Recruit Officer
  Upon appointment, attends a designated POST Approved Police Academy.
